I have replaced my amps with alpine pdx 4.100 and 1.600. My previous amps only used 8ga power cable and I bought some cheap radio shack patch cables. The new amps need 4ga power and ground and 80 and 100 amp inline fuses. I also used the oem speaker wire in my initial installation. I will be running all new speaker wire, power and patch cables. I also want to add sound deadening material to the doors and hatch area. So my questions are:1. What are the best brand cables available without being to over the top expensive? (I'm looking at monster at the moment but they are pricey) 2. Can I run one 4ga power to a distribution block or is it better to run two individually to each amp? What amp in line fuse would I use if I used a distribution block? 3. Is there a cheaper equivalent to B-Quiet Ultimate? 4. How much square footage is needed? Will 50ft suffice or will I need 2 50' rolls? Yes I have searched and got some answers for these questions but want some more recent opinions. Also I have no local electronic stores other than a couple over priced car stereo shops. So any recommendations on places to purchase online?
